Virtual Race
Josten J. Day Foundation is sponsoring its second annual “Reckless Driving Awareness” Virtual Run/Walk/Ride race.
The race consists of either a 5K or 10k race that can be ran, walked or biked from any location of choice.
All race proceeds will go to the Josten J. Day Annual Scholarship at Jackson State University.
The Jackson State University Scholarship Office will administer the Josten J. Day Scholarship.
It will grant $1,000.00 each year to a full-time JSU Student in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation with a 2.8 or higher GPA.
The goals of the foundation are to positively impact the academic success of students at Jackson State University and raise funds for the Josten J. Day Annual Scholarship; to partner with the State Department of Public Safety Officials to enhance the driving curriculum with lessons on distracted driving; and to partner with communities to decrease the loss of lives due to reckless and distractive drivers by raising awareness through a plethora of events and activities.
Pre-Registration Date: January 13 - March 31, 2025
Race Dates: April 1 - April 30, 2025
