JJD Foundation Receives Resolution from Mississippi Legislature
The Mississippi House of Representatives adopted House Resolution No. 80. during its 2019 Legislative Session, which recognizes the establishment of the Josten J. Day (JJD) Foundation.
“I am so thankful for the Mississippi House of Representatives and their support in our efforts,” said Tasha McCullar, President of the JJD Foundation. “I am especially grateful for Miss. Representative Chris Bell for putting his support and enthusiasm behind the Reckless Driving Awareness Initiative.”
“I also extend special thanks to Gus McCoy, Gwendolyn Stuckey Dawkins and James W. Powers for their support,” she went on to say. “We are excited about the future of the JJD Foundation.”
The purpose of the JJD Foundation is to increase Reckless Driving Awareness. The foundation is sponsoring the Inaugural Reckless Driving Awareness 5k/10k Virtual Run/Walk/Bike Race in April 2019. All proceeds will go to the Josten J. Day Annual Scholarship at Jackson State University.
